Keith and Tommy sit down with the front man of two of our favorite bands Renee Heartfelt and Memorial: Pete Appleby. We discuss Pete's early days in Chicago and his move to Richmond, VA where he discovered the scene and began playing in bands. We discuss his band Count Me Out, touring the US and Europe and the end of the band. We also discuss the formation of Renee Heartfelt, stories associated with the band and the many difficulties they faced including the limited support and roadblocks put in place by their former label. Finally, we discuss the formation of Memorial, some of the meaning behind the band and their songs and what Pete has been up to for the last decade.

We also discuss the beginning of Gates, the writing of their first LP, the stories behind some of their most iconic songs, Kevin's cancer diagnosis and his journey to recovery. We also discuss some of Liam's early work with Starkweather and detail the story of how he joined The Dillinger Escape Plan. Keith and Tommy sit down with South Jersey legend and Mr. Into It. Over It. himself, Evan Weiss. We discuss life in the age of COVID and the current state of the world, how Evan discovered the scene at an Ashland Church gig, Bucks County and Philly shows and some of Evan's early musical endeavors including the Progress and The Funeral Bird. We also discuss how Evan created a fake band just to tour and catch a Hum reunion at Furnace Fest, the creation and early days of Into It. Over It., the recording of their debut LP "52 Weeks" and some of Evan's other work including Pet Symmetry and Their/They're/There. We discuss Brad's early days in the local scene in Tampa, the Florida death metal scene and his band Home which brought him to New York City. We also discuss living in New York City, its music scene in the mid to late 90's and early 2000's, tour stories, how Brad joined forces with Interpol, how he managed to learn their set with only a small window of time, touring with U2 and more. Finally, Keith and Tommy discover they have a lot of personal history tied to the date we recorded this episode (July 1) so we share those experiences and talk through them.
